Meet your Maker:

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

I LOVE the variety and how everyone puts there own spin on items and how unique every item is!! It’s so inspiring.

What got you started?

I’ve been making and creating for as long as I can remember. It all started when I was much younger making potions in my back yard with whatever I could find and then graduating to my first (industrial believe it or not) sewing machine.

From there my love for creating expanded across many textiles and materials. Many vanilla until about 10 months ago when I felt more confident to try more kink/adult inspired designs and products

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

I love being able to see all of the amazing and kinky talent we’ve got out there. So many makers and creators, and there’s no single person doing anything like anyone else.

What got you started?

I’ve been crafting with textiles, threads and fabrics for the past decade. When I entered the kinky world my creations shifted from vanilla to more kink themes.

What is something exciting we will be seeing from you in future?

I’ve been working on decorative embroidery for awhile but I’m looking at diversifying and moving into the wearable art space- earrings, jackets etc. I’ve also been working on custom pieces turning photography and ideas into creations. It’s been ridiculously fun exploring the craft across new mediums

Meet your Maker:

What got you started?

Our foray into selling gear came out of a series of woodworking and kink-crafting during the 2020 lockdown. We decided to get serious about it in the first half of 2021 and started putting effort into designing ranges of gear for different roleplay styles.

We love adding a bit of showmanship or dramatic flair to our play, and that same mentality runs through all the gear we make.

What is something exciting we will be seeing from you in future?

We’re excited to be launching a kink and BDSM furniture rental service for all the gear you want to try out but don’t necessarily want to own.

We’ll be renting out things like St Andrews Cross, spanking benches and kink walls. Stay tuned for more details!

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

The sharing. The way people are always so ready to help each other, show each other a new toy or skill or piece of gear – it’s pretty unique.

Meet your Maker:

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

Being part of the community allows us to meet amazing people and help them to expand their play/scene options.

What is something exciting we will be seeing from you in future?

In the future we will continue to grow and expand our silicone and candles range into amazing colours and designs!

How long have you been operating for?

Darque Path opened on Oct 1st 2020. For our toys: We found that there weren’t many Australian makers of fantasy adult toys, and none that offered the fantasy toys to be customised.

For our candles: Being part of the BDSM community ourselves we wanted to make body safe candles that were bright, offered temperature variations and didn’t stain the skin.

Meet your Maker:

How long have you been crafting for and what got you started?

I’ve been making outfits, pieces and accessories for myself for several years. In the last couple years I developed a realistic furry animal ear style that I was confident enough with to start selling to other people. When I started making my own cat ears the only other makers I knew of were overseas and quite expensive, I wanted to be able to help more locals find and afford furry ears of all different styles and colours.

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

Helping people find another part of themselves. I’ve had customers tell me that wearing the ears I made helped them discover and really tune in to their animal side.

What’s a highlight so far?

Seeing people find a piece that they feel represents them, seeing how they work it into different outfits and knowing that I’ve been a part of them finding that part of themselves.

Meet your Maker:

How long have you been crafting for?

I have always been a maker, but I have been doing what I do now for 20 years, and running my own business for the last 10

Tell us about a highlight of your work?

Every successful moulding and casting is a highlight for me. I love the ideas that come and the outcomes of the textures created, and the movement captured. I just love it all!

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

I have absolutely loved meeting all the characters from the kink communities, also the other artisans making work within the realms of kink. It so great seeing how people apply their craft to unique applications.

Meet your Maker:

How long have you been crafting for?

I created my first paddle in 2009. At the time I had decided on a whim to teach myself woodworking with the intention of making wooden furniture. A friend suggested a paddle would make a good (and more realistically achievable) first project. I took their advice and made one, and then one more, and then another, and another, and 12 years later I’m still going.

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

I savour the privilege of being in a position to contribute to others’ enjoyment of their kinks by creating toys that make an impact on people, whether literally or metaphorically. Well that and combining a love of woodworking with an obsession for latex clothing in my ongoing quest to redefine the meaning of appropriate workwear!

Tell us about a highlight of your work?

Not long after I started woodworking I spent a small fortune on a piece of jet black African ebony timber. (Don’t worry, that’s not the highlight!) Back then I didn’t have anywhere near the skill required to do justice to this rare and precious resource, but I promised myself that one day when I did I would create something special.

Ten years later I decided I was ready to create that something special. Inspired by a request for two very unconventional black paddles, that beautiful piece of wood became two of the most striking creations ever to emerge from my workbench. Seeing the look on their new owner’s face when he first saw them was a highlight moment a decade in the making.

Meet your Maker:

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

Honestly, the community itself. I look forward to every event I do, simply because of the people I may potentially meet. The kink community is so beautifully varied – we have tradies, we have writers, we have scientists, we have parents, we have sex workers, we have such a huge range of people, interests, personalities and lived experiences, all brought together by the love of being a filthy, kinky animal, and it warms my frilly little heart.

How long have you been crafting for and what got you started?

I’ve been a general crafter for years now, and dabble in everything from resin through to sewing, taxidermy through to woodworking, and I wanted a way to use my skills in such a way that helped other people. Being primarily physically disabled myself, I realised how little there was in the kink community for people like me, and I wanted to change that. And as I’ve developed my skills further and tried to make products to fill that gap, I’ve realised how many other disabilities are overlooked and misunderstood within kink as well.

I think what I do has grown from simply making accessible floggers and paddles to a much, much larger goal of education, empowerment and highlighting disabled voices within our community because almost everyone fucks (with a nod to my sex-repulsed aces out there), and they should be able to do so without barriers that have often been created due to misunderstanding and fear. We can, and WILL, do better.

Meet your Maker:

How long have you been making/creating and what got you started?

We’ve been making and refining candles for about 2.5 years but only took the passion project into selling candles around 1 year ago when people started asking if they could buy some of what they saw us making and using.

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

The people! There are so many amazing humans from such a diverse background that we absolutely adore meeting everyone and talking to them.

Tell us about a highlight moment as a creator?

It may sound cheesy but being able to share this journey with a partner who’s equally as passionate.

What is something exciting we will be seeing from you in future?

At the moment we are working on continuing to refine the candles themselves and expanding into new scents. However, we are also looking into ways of making metallic shimmer colours that don’t ruin the wicks when used.

Bad Ass Leather

With Mistress Jackie

Meet your Maker:

What got you started?

I started by making a few toys for myself, as it was hard to find quality items and frustrated with the selection.

To further develop my leathercraft skills, I have completed a number of saddle and whip making courses, giving me a solid grounding in the craft. Combining these skills and my creative abilities I find my head swimming with ideas, both in colour and design ideas.

Using quality leather and superior workmanship to many other floggers that are available, makes for items that will give many years of faithful service to their owners and provide a full spectrum of sensations, from mild to wild.

What is your favourite part about being part of the kink creator community?

My life revolves around the kink community, I run one of the longest running play parties in Australia, Kinky Farm parties, having a strong following of regulars as well as newbies. This gives me a great insight into how people want to play and what toys they like. I have made many lifetime friends from being part of this wonderful community and find it exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

My floggers and toys have travelled all over the world and I love getting messages from their new owners.

I love making toys that people enjoy playing I have a strong following of customers who tell me how much they love using my floggers and other items. To
